Android Nougat Features Gets Some Interesting New Updates In Version 7.1.2

By

Android Nougat features now includes more control over the phone's wallpaper as well as an awesome new "moves" option.

Google's latest "incremental maintenance update" is currently available for the Nexus 5X and Google pixel. The Android 7.1.2 update was implemented with a focus on "polishing and refinements."

According to DroidLife, the 7.1.2 update gives Android owners the freedom to choose where they want their wallpaper to appear. Some might prefer a live wallpaper for their home screen but have a static one for their lock screen.

Previously, Android owners can only set just one wallpaper for both the lock screen and home screen. Fortunately for those who have updated to 7.1.2, this problem is going to be a thing of the past.

With the latest Android Nougat update, this can be done through a menu pop-up when setting wallpapers. The menu gives owners a choice of "Home Screen"or "Home Screen and lock screen,"

This way, it's more convenient when it comes to separating live wallpapers with static ones. This is also ideal for those who just prefer two separate images for their home and lock screens.

According to PhoneArena, there's another interesting new feature in the latest Nougat update. Those who have tried out Google's latest update noticed a new addition in the settings menu.

This new option is called "Moves," which sets up various commands using gestures.. "Moves" makes use of the fingerprint scanner for commands like "Swipe for notifications", which is pretty much self-explanatory.

Other "moves" options include pressing the power button twice to switch to camera and lifting the phone to automatically check for notifications.

While Android Nougat 7.1.2 is already out on the Nexus 5X and Google Pixel, it's not readily available for other devices. However, It is reported that the Nexus 6P will be getting the Android Nougat 7.1.2 treatment real soon.
