iOS 10 update issues started manifesting with 10.2.1 but the future of iOS 10 hopes to make up for the previous flawed update. The latest iOS 10 update rolled out bringing a fresh new look to the iPhone's user interface.
According to Techradar, some users might not even recognize various parts of the UI due to big changes. iOS 10 brings some interesting new features to the table including new message effects and wallpapers. Users are even treated to a plethora of new emoji's, there's over 70 new ones to choose from. A new TV-app will also be added to fill all your TV show needs.
Another feature worth noting is the inclusion of a new camera setting called "preserve settings." By ticking this setting, the camera app will prevent any changes made on the camera's setting from resetting every time the app is closed.
This saves users some time from manually changing the filter or camera mode each time the camera app is opened. In addition, there's also new message effects like "Love" and "Celebration." These message effects fills-up your message screen with a big heart or some celebratory fireworks. This feature adds more ways for users to express themselves beyond using the usual emoji's.
The source also mentions a new "theater mode" coming to iOS 10.3 in the future. Apart from the fact that this mode will be getting its own icon in the control center, not much is revealed about this new feature.
The amount of changes in the new OS version is so varied and it's only expected to constantly expand in the future. Not all the iOS updates were successful however, as users are affected by numerous bugs in iOS 10.2.1.
According to Forbes, the 10.2.1 update reportedly gives troubles to the fingerprint-recognition feature, TouchID. The source mentioned a long list of bugs including battery issues, WiFi issues, bluetooth issues and even a decrease in sound performance.
Fortunately, rolling back to the previous iOS version 10.2 reportedly fixes the problems. While update 10.2.1 includes some essential security fixes, reports are suggesting users to wait for iOS 10.3 instead.
