The Viber app download count will be getting an increase following the addition of these cool new features that are already available in the new update.
Communications company Viber recently added some cool new features to their popular messaging app. The first new addition is instant video messages.
This gives Viber users a convenient way of conveying messages via quick, 30-second video clips. This makes it easier to, not only make conversations more lively, but to also quickly share any interesting event that's currently happening.
The Viber app update adds a dedicated Instant Video Icon. Tapping and holding the Instant Video button starts the recording and releasing the button sends the short clip.
The second noteworthy addition Is Secret Messages. According to GSMArena, this gives messages a "self-destruct" timer. This feature makes sure that certain sensitive conversations won't linger in the chat history.
Viber users are given a timer option of how long they want their images to be seen before it becomes an unrecognizable blurry picture. Only the person sending the image will know if their sent image has been seen.
Snapchat also had a feature similar to Viber's secret messages. Anonymous chat app Chatous implements a timed expiring photo feature as well.
While this isn't necessarily something new, it gives Viber users more options when it comes to chatting discreetly. Meanwhile, the communications company continues to spread free calls to countries around the globe.
This is much needed specially after the recent immigration ban issued by United States president Donald Trump. According to TechCrunch, the Las Vegas and Cyprus based company offers their help to the countries affected by the U.S. Immigration ban.
Viber tweeted a message stating that all calls from any landline or mobile between the United States and the affected countries are now free. The company was popularized in the middle east, starting in an Israeli company called Viber media. The communications company was eventually bought by Rakuten, but its middle Eastern roots urges them to lend a helping hand to the affected countries.
