Kim Kardashian has landed a small role in the upcoming ‘Ocean’s Eight’ movie with her half-sister, Kendall Jenner. As reported by TMZ, the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ stars filmed cameos for the movie in New York City on Tuesday.
Kardashian and Jenner will appear in the all-female reboot of ‘Ocean’s Eight’ during a jewel robbery scene at the annual Met Gala in New York, calling to mind the Paris robbery incident that Kanye West’s wife went through last year.
Meanwhile, the first photos of Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett filming ‘Ocean’s Eight’ were released online in October. The reboot will be comprised of female cast members; other stars who have signed on to the movie include Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, and Awkwafina. Meanwhile, James Corden also joined the film for a supporting role.
Director Gary Ross from ‘The Hunger Games’ is helming the movie with a script that he co-wrote, while Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney has signed on as producers. The ‘Ocean’s Eight’ filming began in October in New York. A ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ teaser, which is set to make a comeback on E! in March, features Kardashian recalling the Paris robbery incident.
“They’re going to shoot me in the back. There’s no way out. It makes me so upset to think about it,” the 36-year-old businesswoman said.
The news of Kardashian making a cameo on ‘Ocean’s Eight’ comes three months after she was held at gunpoint by masked robbers who took jewelry, worth millions of dollars, from her at the No Address Hotel where she stayed during Paris Fashion Week. Confirmed by multiple sources, the Los Angeles native was deeply upset over the shocking incident and took a three-month break from social media.
This month, though, she has been seen by the public as she made her first official appearance as her makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic, held a Masterclass in Dubai in which Kardashian took a part in. Kardashian’s robbery scene cameo and the rest of the upcoming ‘Ocean’s Eight’ is set to premiere on June 8, 2018.
