Justin Bieber Faces $100,000 Lawsuit For Smashing Man's Phone Containing 'Irreplaceable Data'

Justin Bieber is facing a $100,000 lawsuit from a man who claims the singer destroyed his phone which contains 'irreplaceable data'. According to the lawsuit, the Candian pop sensation smashed the person's device after filming him spilling ale all over himself during a failed attempt at using one.

In a report by Daily Mail, the incident took place during his night out at the Cle night club in Houston, Texas last month. Bieber reportedly stopped by the night club to party following his Purpose Tour stop in town.

The supposed cellphone incident was during the same time that the 22-year-old "What Do You Mean" singer was seen extinguishing a cigarette on rapper Post Malone's arm. The two were later photographed getting rough as the rapper allegedly choked Bieber for what he did, Complex reported.

One of the plaintiffs was identified as Robert Earl Morgan and the lawsuit claims that the "Sorry" singer was furious when he realized his failed attempt of using the beer bong was being filmed. Accordingly, this led to the incident wherein the 22-year-old Canadian singer grabbed the man's phone and smashed it into pieces.

The one who filed the lawsuit, Jason Friedman, said Morgan never got his SIM card back after his mobile phone was destroyed. Friedman allege that the SIM card was full of irreplaceable images such as that of his grandmother's 100th birthday party. Friedman added that Morgan, a former photography student, lost five thousand photos and videos he has captured and made to document his travels. He also claims that his client's business contacts were lost, which has affected him financially as he has missed out on commissions, Pop Crush reported.

Friedman said in a statement that he thinks superstars are not above the law and that they have to treat their fans with respect. He added that the fans are the ones who make the stars who they are so there was no reason for Bieber to attack Morgan and destroy his cellphone causing him to lose "irreplaceable data."

Bieber and his camp are yet to comment on the lawsuit.
