An Apple employee was found dead in a conference room inside the company's headquarters in Cupertino on Wednesday, authorities have confirmed. The cause of death of the male employee described by the tech giant as "young and talented" is currently under investigation.

Santa Clara County Sheriff's office said Apple reported about a dead man on their conference room early Wednesday morning, USA Today reported. The cause of death was not immediately known and is still under investigation, according to Sgt. Andrea Urena, the public information officer for the office.

"No one else was involved, there was no danger to the public, there was no foul play," Urena explained. She added that the male employee's identification such as his name and age will not be disclosed to the public. She also noted that the death was an isolated incident, Zero Hedge cited.

The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner's Office still examines the body, ABC News reported. Urena added she cannot comment further regarding how the man died.

The statement released by the tech giant says, "We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of a young and talented coworker. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends, including the many people he worked with here at Apple."

It also mentioned they are assisting the co-workers of the man, whom they quoted, "young and talented", coping over the incident. Apple has also refused to name the deceased employee. Employees were given the option to take the rest of the day off and offered grief counseling.

The death occurred one day after the company reported that its quarterly revenue fell 13 percent from a year ago, with sales dropping from the previous year for the first time in 13 years. Apple Campus is situated at 1 Infinite Loop in Cupertino, California, United States. It is notably designed like that of a university, with buildings surrounding green spaces, similar to a suburban business park.
