George Clooney and Julia Roberts Stars in 'Money Monsters'

The famous Hollywood actor George Clooney was recently photographed meeting up with some old friends, namely Hollywood actresses and director Jodie Foster and Julia Roberts. The meet up was not apparently limited to friendship matters but a new movie in the works.

Clooney's latest movie gig is apparently with former "Ocean's Thirteen" co-star Roberts in a new film titled "Money Monsters" which will be directed by Foster, 9 News reports. The news spread like wildfire especially when two Oscar winners, Clooney and Roberts, are once again expected to share the big screen soon.

The story was recently revealed, according to the news agency, and it will be centered on money and how huge it apparently plays in the lives of modern-day people. The film will feature Clooney's character as Lee Gates, a TV finance spokesperson, while Roberts' character will be Patty Fenn, a show producer to one of Gates' shows.

The excited pair recently talked about how the movie will be approaching the topic on money. "We love the idea of talking about the world of money and how it's gotten out of control," Clooney said as per the news agency. "And when those things go wrong, the little guy gets screwed," he added.

Meanwhile, Roberts had a more general view. "I think it's a story about all of us feeling in control and not in control of our own lives," Roberts said, as per the publication. Furthermore, Roberts gave a sneak peak on a scenario between her character and Clooney's where her significance in the film shows up.

"She is trying to stay calm and collected and connected to Lee to keep him calm and understand what's going on in the studio, and at the same time trying to find the people and try to find out what's really going on," Roberts said, as per the news outlet.

Meanwhile, ET reports that the film will be hitting the theaters on May 13 and will also be starring Dominic West, Giancarlo Esposito and Caitriona Balfe. "Money Monsters" is directed by Foster, as per the publication.

Furthermore, the news agency reveals that since the film mainly tackles the issue on money, corruption will be one of the main topics as well. The depth of the film will be seen through Clooney's character as he discovers that corruption has been part of his top stock recommendations and this will happen during one unfortunate hostage situation which will happen in the very studio that Clooney and Roberts' characters are situated at.
