'Bates Motel' Season 4: Romero uncovers a crime that threatens his life; Freddie Highmore pens Episode 8

Lead actor Freddie Highmore revealed that he penned the upcoming episode 8 of "Bates Motel" Season 4. Aside from that, A&E Network has released the official plot description of episode 5 'Refraction' and the recap of last week's episode 'A Danger to Himself and Others' is provided here for fans who have missed to watch it.

Lead actor Freddie Highmore, who plays the role of Norman Bates, shared that he has written an upcoming episode of "Bates Motel" Season 4. According Design n Trend, the 24-year-old English actor penned the episode 8 of the series and that being a part of the writing team is a collaborative effort. He also admitted that he is interested to direct a future episode for the show.

As for the official plot synopsis of episode 5, TV Guide notes, "Norman Bates tries to confide in Doctor Gregg Edwards (Damon Gupton), but worries her may reveal too much. Also Norma Louise Bates (Vera Farmiga) hires a craftsman to fix a window and Sheriff Alex Romero (Nestor Carbonell) uncovers a crime that threatens his new life."

For a quick recap of "Bates Motel" Season 4 previous episode 4 "A Danger to Himself and Others" Entertainment Weekly reported that, Norman had an adventure with his newfound friend; Norma had a taste of her first happiness in the annual festival of White Pine Bay. However, she unintentionally put Romero in an awkward situation; Dylan Massett (Max Thieriot) found himself caught between two families.

"Bates Motel" Season 4 Episode 5 is entitled as "Refraction". The forthcoming episode is scheduled to premiere on Monday, April, 11 2016 at 9:00 p.m. first and exclusive on A&E Network.

"Bates Motel" is an American drama thriller TV series developed by Carlton Cuse, Kerry Ehrin, and Anthony Cipriano. The storyline serves as a prequel of Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 film "Psycho" which is based on Robert Bloch's novel under the same name.
