Bethesda's DOOM has left fans in awe as many more announcements about the game have surfaced. To add to the hype, new multiplayer modes and even the potential maps have been revealed, letting the hardcore shooters and gore fans prepare only for possibly the most brutal first person shooter of the year.
According to International Business Times, the maps of the up and coming DOOM title can be seen in some trailers as of recently, though the said affirmative maps were counted as 9. These are Excavation, Infernal, Chasm, Disposal, Helix, Perdition, Sacreligious, Heatwave and Beneath, all of which promise to deliver the hellish experience promised by Bethesda.
As per Latin Times, Bethesda has announced that there are over six multiplayer modes to choose that will inhabit the title. Soul Harvest sets the goal of gathering souls of dead players regardless of who killed whoever, whereas Freeze Tag tallies who can freeze the most opponent members. Warpath is described as a King of the Hill version in which players must avoid attacks while heading to a capture point.
Tech Times delivered that Domination is made to prevent opposing teams to getting the advantage in the game via rune acquisition. Team Deathmatch, being one of the most popular modes in multiplayer, is a head-on collision of two teams, and lastly, the Clan Arena will be a last team standing mechanic, whereas no respawns will be given to those killed. All of the aforementioned modes set the goal of the opposing team being reduced to the least members to none at all if necessary, implying the sense of gore and demonic extermination from the Doom franchise.
The DOOM reboot had a closed beta event that happened from March 31st to April 3rd, in which gamers had their minor glimpse of the possibilities within the game. The title will arrive for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC on May 13th.
