By

The awaited Tekken 7: Fated Retribution still feels a rather heavy degree of uncertainty in terms of more concrete information, specifically the release date of the title itself. As much as the fans would want to know when such details will be disclosed, Bandai Namco only released a few images that will tease more on what is to come.

According to Hardcore Gamer, it was a recently disseminated set of news online that a whole heap of fresh screenshots were seen, showing Heihachi Mishima's updated default costume. Comparatively, the character was can only be remembered wearing the gray karate outfit with a tiger emblem at the back during the Tekken 7 vanilla game but is now given a more striking appearance.

As per Christian Today, Heihachi Mishima now has an orange vest, with his right arm mounted with an armored padding and a horned demon decoration. As for the lower body, he also eliminated his karate pants and now wears a black bottom, designed with yellow, white and orange markings. He also no longer goes barefoot to a match, as a he is bestowed a pair of gold shin guards and a dark slippers, as well as a cape like extension at the back.

Gematsu delivered that the changes do not depict a full change in Heihachi Mishima's game style. He is not the first character to get a full a physical costume overhaul since Hwoarang now wears a biker jacket and eye patch, Bryan Fury dons a rebel's overall and Steve Fox a full-body hooded robe.

Fans have taken the new character outfits rather lightly compared to the inclusion of Street Fighter V's Akuma to the roster. The decision became purely shocking to the Tekken community, but Bandai Namco assures that Akuma plays a significant role to the developing story.

Stay tuned for more updates on Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, as the anticipated release of the arcade version is set for 2016.
