Uriah Shelton, who plays the role of Joshua Matthews, officially signs in to return to "Girl Meets World" Season 3. According to Vine Report, the 19-year-old American teen actor and singer has been temporarily removed from the series during its sophomore season due to an accident.

Creator and executive producer Michael Jacobs discussed the details via The Wrap about how "Girl Meets World" Season 3 will tackle heavier topics such as sex and underage drinking now that they are in high school.
Jacobs stated, "As long as the show runs on Disney Channel, we want to honor the people who invited us to play at their house. They've been very good to us, and they have let us push the envelope about as much as they have. We will tackle heavier subjects but we will also honor the fact that our demographic starts at 6 years old."
With that being said, avid fans and viewers of the show placed an online petition via change.org to move the show from another network. Parent Herald has cited that the online petition wants the series to be moved from Disney Channel to Freeform so that the teenage storylines would not be restricted due to its younger demographic.
