Street Fighter V: March DLC to Feature Alex for Free as of the Moment Says Capcom; Release Date Announced

By

Capcom's Street Fighter V has gone through some shaky matters since the title launched, but as promised, there will be some making up that the title will do. That takes form in the March downloadable content update, and it will occur twice for the fans to take advantage of.

According to Eurogamer, Capcom may have let the fans down more than once as far as being consistent is concerned, but for the month of March, fans will be treated to some nearly irresistible choices that the developer made. Alex, for one, will be part of the said downloadable content updates along with a few other attributes.

As per Game Spot, the March update will be comprised of two parts, one to be delivered on March 28th 2016; containing Challenge Mode, Trials, an online rematch option, improvements to the Battle Lounge and multiple bug fixes. On the other hand, the second part of the March update will be two days later, March 30th, and is scheduled to include Alex to the in-game shop, as well as the roster by 10AM PT/1PM ET/5 PM GMT.

It was delivered by VG247 that the main reason behind it was disclosed by Capcom, namely the unavailability of the Zenny, the game's currency, for the time being. To compensate for the said flaw, Capcom made Alex and some additional costumes for free as a trial period to all Street Fighter V players until the Zenny shop is officially available.

Capcom was quoted on their statements, claiming, "We have taken a long hard look at this part of the store, and after much review, have decided it is not ready to launch just yet. As Zenny is purchased with real money, we wanted to be extra careful and make sure it's fully tested and optimized before launching it. There is currently no ETA on the Zenny store and we will release it as soon as it's ready."

Street Fighter V was launched last February 16th, 2016. The game is made compatible for cross-platform play.
