‘Finding Dory’: Ellen DeGeneres unveils adorable new poster; Michael Sheen devastated over character being cut out of final edit

'Finding Dory' is an upcoming animated adventure-comedy film intended as a sequel to 'Finding Nemo' from 2003. Michael Sheen, who plays a yet confirmed character in the sequel, admitted his devastation after learning that his scene was cut out of the film's final edit. Meanwhile, Ellen DeGeneres unveiled the film's latest new poster.

According to the New Zealand Herald, Sheen admitted to being "very sad" about having his voice work cut from Pixar's upcoming animated adventure-comedy film. The Welsh actor was originally attached to voice an unknown character alongside Ellen DeGeneres, Idris Elba, Kaitlin Olson, Dominic West, Diane Keaton, Ty Burrell, Albert Brooks, Eugene Levy and Ed O'Neill.

Sheen admitted during an interview with Magic Radio at the Into Film Awards, "I got a phone call saying I'm not in that (Finding Dory) anymore, they cut me out... Unbelievable. I was very sad, I was such a fan of Finding Nemo, but that's the way it goes, especially with animated films, you never know what's going to make it to the final cut... It's always a good thing to remember - you can always end up on the cutting room floor."

Meanwhile, DeGeneres returns to voice the titular forgetful yet lovable blue tang. Her character was first introduced in Disney and Pixar's 'Finding Nemo' released in 2003. The first film was directed by Andrew Stanton and written by Stanton, Bob Peterson and David Reynolds.

According to the Standard, the new film's plot will focus on Dory as she goes on an adventure to find her long-lost family. It will take place six months after the events of its predecessor and will be set off the coast of California.

DeGeneres unveiled the latest official poster for 'Finding Dory' on her personal Twitter account. According to Entertainment Weekly, her post was captioned, "Check out the new Finding Dory poster! They really captured my eyes. And my tail fin. #HaveYouSeenHer". The new poster featured Dory in the middle of a tangle of marine creatures with the words, "An unforgettable journey she probably won't remember."

'Finding Dory' is an upcoming animated adventure-comedy film scheduled to be released on June 17, 2016. It is written and directed by Andrew Stanton under Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures.
