Tough-on-immigration GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump has gained support from an unexpected immigrant wearing a "Legal Immigrant for Trump" T-shirt in the middle of the Bloomington, Illinois rally on Sunday.
According to USA Today, following the day after Trump has been protected from a possible attacker, the GOP frontrunner pulled a man out of the crowd to show his concern regarding immigration. Identified as Alex Stypik, the guy was noted to be wearing a handwritten message which says "Legal Immigrant for Trump." The man attracted the eyes of Trump who responded "we want people to come into our country but they got to come legally like you, right?" Trump has been criticized after he called for building a wall between U.S. and Mexico, indicating that Mexico sends 'rapists' to U.S.
Following his identification, the man was invited to the stage to speak on the crowd as New York Post wrote. He said "I came to this country when I was 5 years old, and my dad went through hell to get us citizenship, and we did it by the book." He added that he's supporting Trump due to the media's intention in not separating the legal from illegal. Meanwhile, Trump said that he's never met the guy before until that very moment.
Inquisitr noted that this campaign in Bloomington, Illinois turned out to be very different than the one in Chicago where chaos ensued last March 11. Donald Trump is now being supported by Ku Klux Klan, David Duke, and lots of other white supremacists in the country. Returning to the legal immigrant, many social media users are guessing if the man was paid and if the situation was staged.
Trump's campaign has gained momentum as the election nears and even some of his supporters are being accused of resorting to violence.
Meanwhile, Trump's visit to Chicago was cancelled due to hundreds of anti-Trump protesters waiting in the campus of University of Illinois. A dispute erupted between the protesters and Trump supporters and at least five people were arrested in and around the aborted Chicago event.
