Samsung released a new a matrix showing a ton of its devices are finally heading to the official Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow beginning this month. Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 phones were already set to get the latest software update first.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 will finally be receiving the official Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update early in March as revealed by a new matrix. These devices were already reported late of February 2016 to receive Marshmallow by the first week of March.
With only two days left to cap off the kickoff week of the month, it is still an exciting way to wait if Samsung is going to release on time the much-anticipated update, at least to the unlocked versions.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5
For Samsung Galaxy Note 5, units with model number SM - N920I will get the update first. These units can be found in countries New Zealand, Canada, Australia and Singapore. The device is currently under testing for Marshmallow.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+
For Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, units with model number SM - G928I will receive the update first. These units are available only in New Zealand, Australia and Singapore. The device is also under testing for Marshmallow.
Samsung Galaxy S6
For Samsung Galaxy S6, units with model number SM - G920I will receive the update first. These units are available Northern and Southern American regions including countries Canada, the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela and several others. The device is now uploading Marshmallow.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge
For Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, units with model number SM - G925I will receive the update first. These units are available also available the same countries mentioned under Northern and Southern American region. The device is now uploading Marshmallow.
Other Galaxy Phones
Meanwhile, other Galaxy phones and tablets are also confirmed for the update in the coming second quarter. These include the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and Galaxy Tab S2 8.0.
