Samsung Galaxy S6 G920K Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow via CRISSCROSS Custom ROM: Update Guide

Samsung Galaxy S6 G920K now received support from CRISSCROSS custom ROM for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update. The ROM promises to give device owners more great features.

CRISSCROSS can now update Samsung Galaxy S6 with model number G920K to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The build offers call recorder, pre-root, and five-way reboot menu, among many others. It is deodexed and has Aroma Installer and Samsung theme engine. Overall, CRISSCROSS is deemed stable and fast with no issues on the side.

Before proceeding with the download and installation of CRISSCROSS, be reminded of the following warnings and prerequisites:

1. Make sure that Samsung Galaxy S6 has model number G920K. Using other variant may cause severe damage to phone. To know the model number of the phone, go to Settings > About device or About phone.

2. Install TWRP Recovery on Galaxy S6 here.

3. Back up all necessary data here, including apps, SMS messages, contacts, call history, APN settings and more. Samsung KIES can also be used for backup.

4. Connect the device to any PC using a USB driver. Download a driver here.

5. Installing the any custom ROM induces risk of damaging device. Neither this site nor developers of the CRISSCROSS will be held responsible for such damage.

Here's how to download and install Android 6.0.1 CRISSCROSS to Samsung Galaxy S6 G920K:

1. Down load Android 6.0.1 CRISSCROSS ROM here on PC.

2. Connect phone to PC using the USB cable.

3. Copy then paste downloaded ROM to phone's memory or SD card.

4. Switch off phone and plug it out from the PC.

5. Go to Recovery Mode by press holding volume up, home and power buttons.

6. Choose 'Wipe' to delete of data and 'Swipe to Factory Reset'.

7. Go to main menu and choose 'Install'. Choose the copied ZIP file on the phone.

8. Choose 'Swipe to Confirm Flash'.

9. Wait for the installation to complete.

10. When phone gets into any boot loops or other troubles, tap 'Wipe cache/dalvik' button.

11. Choose 'Reboot System'.

To verify the update, go to Settings > About phone.
