Battlefield 5 Leaked to Arrive October 26 As a Multiplayer Tactical Shooter in World War 1 Setting

The highly anticipated Battlefield 5 pegged as DICE next big project this 2016 is reportedly leaked to arrive in October this year as a Multiplayer Tactical Shooter title that will take place in World War 1 setting.

This awesome news to many of hardcore Battlfield fans recently surfaced online courtesy of gaming researcher named Thrillho on Twitter via German gaming retailer, World Of Games. The international online store has possibly leaked the details on the upcoming release of Battlefield 5.

The screenshot taken by the leakster from the retail listings for Battlefield 5 revealed a PC, PS4 and Xbox One release for the EU and U.K regions. It indicated a main heading in a German description which reads "Mehrspieler Taktik Shooter im 1. Weltkrieg." When translated in English, the tag says "multiplayer tactical shooter in WW1." Additionally, the post also implied a World War I setting for the next title in the series. What's more is that the new EA title is listed to be out at an exact release date on Oct. 26, 2016.

The launch date mentioned marks a Wednesday in Europe which, in most cases, the typical day for a game release within the region. On the other hand, gamers in North America specifically in the U.S. likely receive the game 24 hours earlier. This timing apparently supports the idea that the leak could prove accurate, although, it is advised that fans take it with a grain of salt.

Design & Trend wrote that EA is currently in Star Wars Battlefront post launch development stage and it sounds plausible that most of the developer's team are now directed to work on Battlefield 5 full time. Back in December, studio director Dan Vaderlind informed fans via Twitter that he and his team saying that they're now "moving on to another project, the next Battlefield." Vaderlind's statement succeeded EA CFO Blake Jorgensen' a month before where he said that he already laid his eyes on the game in action and called it as a "fun, new Battlefield."

Fans are told to stay tuned for official news, updates, and announcement from EA/DICE soon on the upcoming release of Battlefield 5 later this year.
