Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Next DLCs Teased; Patch Expected for Glitches Brought by Update 2.0

After getting the first expansion Operation Black Ice, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege will receive the next DLC with maps that focuses on USA, Brazil, and Japan.

In a report by GameSpot, Ubisoft revealed in a presentation during its annual Investor Day the upcoming expansion that will be released quarterly throughout 2016. The second DLC which will be USA-themed will come out in the second quarter, Brazil-themed in the third quarter, and Japan-theme in the last quarter. The specific titles and release dates of the expansions, however were not given in detail.

Operation Black Ice, The first expansion for Rainbow Six Siege was released on the first week of February is themed in Canada. The game received new content and 2.0 patch promising tweaks and improvements to the game. One new additions is the Yacht map where a luxury yatch that hit an iceberg in the arctic region and Rainbow operatives were sent to secure the vessel.

The update also added a Spectator Camera and new weapon skins. The Spectator Camera can allow an 11th player to join and switch the different camera views - a first-person view, a tactical overhead view, and a free-cam view.

Unfortunately, in just less than a week after the patch 2.0 release, IGN reported that players experienced new glitches to the game such as rendering problems where operators become black shadows, hit registration, and issues when knife is used in melee attacks.

Ubisoft has acknowledged the errors in the Update 2.0 and said that they are now working on a solution for the problems. Another patch is now expected to fix the bugs and issues that came with Update 2.0.

Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Rainbow Six Siege was released in December 1, 2015 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game received an 8/10 score from game critic GameSpot.
