The internet can't help but talk about the recent breakup of Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell. But despite talk that the couple has split up, "The Vampire Diaries" star has already been spotted out in public with her best friend, Chace Crawford.
The 27-year-old actress has been best friends with the 30-year-old "Gossip Girl" star for years. But as Celeb Dirty Laundry shares, they were seen enjoying each other's company as they stepped out together at the exclusive Villa Lounge Bar located in West Hollywood.
Despite their best friend status, both are single and available. Even though fans of the two actors would set aside the rumors, there are sources who claim that they were getting cozy with each other. The Parent Herald shares eyewitness reports that both Dobrev and Crawford could not keep their hands from each other throughout the night.
Earlier reports also show that Crawford has always been interested in pursuing Dobrev. As a matter of fact, they both spent Thanksgiving with each other's families. Unfortunately, Dobrev saw Crawford as nothing more than a friend. Also she was still dating Stowell at that time. Perhaps with her recent breakup, it has made her see Crawford as date-worthy.
Speaking of Stowell, it hasn't been a long time since she broke up with Stowell. The pair dated for only 7 months but was frequently hit by rumors of Dobrev and ex, Ian Somerhalder, getting back together.
Many couldn't help but think that Dobrev broke up with Stowell because she was getting back with Somerhalder, despite him already married to Nikki Reed. But on NZ City, Somerhalder has been quoted to reveal that they were already trying to start a family of their own. So definitely, getting back with her ex was out of the question.
As for the reason why Dobrev and Stowell split, an insider shares that it was because they both had hectic schedules. Despite the breakup, they "remain on good terms."
Dobrev and Stowell's relationship first became public when they shared a kiss at West Hollywood's The Improv back in June 2015. On Dobrev's birthday party last month, the couple still looked like they were going stronger. Unfortunately, the breakup rumors started when the actress was spotted attending Super Bowl 50 without her boyfriend, as well as celebrating Valentine's Day with her friends.
