Cheryl Fernandez-Versini Smiles for Photographers After Divorce Reports

By

Over the weekend, news about Cheryl Fernandez-Versini splitting up from her French husband, Jean-Bernard, have circulated the online world. Many were shocked at the news of the divorce, especially since the couple has just been married for 18 months. Ever since news of the divorce broke out, the 32-year-old singer has been posting selfies on her Instagram account. On Thursday, however, the star was finally photographed in public for the first time since the breakup.

Fernandez-Versini attended the launch of KOBOX, the first boutique boxing gym in the UK. The boyfriend of Lily England, the singer's manager, owned the venture so she decided to drop by in support of the launch amidst her relationship drama. Fernandez-Versini also managed to smile and pose for pictures when asked. Before she stepped out in public, Fernandez-Versini shared a make-up free selfie as she finished a kickboxing session. Below the photo, she wrote a caption that read "K O'd by Shane," referring to Shane Collins, the owner of the gym.

Many are quick to assume that the post kickboxing training photo she shared could suggest that The X Factor judge is fighting back at the thought of facing an expensive divorce settlement. Considering she did not sign a pre-nuptial agreement before she wed the French businessman, she could lose a portion of her estimated £16M net worth. She earned this money after years of working as a Girls Aloud member, L'Oreal endorsements, solo singer, and even for her stint on The X Factor.

Even though there is no official confirmation about the split by Fernandez-Versini, it is important to point out that the couple have exhibited a very public spat on social media to indicate that their marriage was in trouble. In a series of posts, the two have fired "good riddance" messages to each other over the past few weeks.

Before this marriage, Fernandez-Versini was married to Ashley Cole. This will be her second divorce.
