Lenovo has unveiled its TAB3 Series during the Mobile World Congress 2016 targeting consumers from home and business. The handsets in the lineup are armed with Dolby Atmos Sound and other amazing specs and features.
According to GottaBeMobile, Lenovo unveiled three new Android-powered tablets namely TAB3 10 Business for enterprise, and the TAB3 7 and TAB3 8 for consumers. The TAB3 10, as one might suppose from the name, is aiming straight at businesses looking for affordable tablets to fit in for the staff.
The other two of the new Lenovo tablets target the families. The TAB3 7 and the TAB3 8 are 7- and 8-inch tablets that run Lenovo's flavor of Android. Parents are most probably the ones who will appreciate the kid-friendly features that Lenovo has incorporated inside. Each of the tablet comes with a dedicated "kids mode" that gives limited web access and let the parents restrict tablet usage to certain hours or certain days.
When it comes with the specs and features, 9to5Google noted that Lenovo has made a point of perceiving that the TAB3 10 for business users fully supports Android for Work. This is Google's platform that allows people to use their personal handsets for work while keeping personal and work data separate. Lenovo also stated that the tablet will have Google Play for Work and other enterprise software preloaded, including a Kiosk Mode that lets users to set up their TAB3 10 Business as an interactive kiosk.
The TAB3 10 is engineered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and a 10″ full-HD IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3. For its camera, it is armed with an 8MP main camera and 5MP front-facing snapper. It has connectivity supports for NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi AC and full GP. This device has around 12-hour battery, and an optional upgrade to cellular connectivity. In addition, the TAB3 10 includes dust and waterproofing with P2i technology to achieve IP52 performance for dust- and splash-proofing.
As for the more family-friendly TAB3 7 and TAB3 8, both of these tablets include a 1.0GHz quad-core processor. Both of them are also armed with 5MP rear cameras and 2MP front-facing snappers. The main difference between the tablets are the displays - a 7″ SD IPS vs. an 8″ HD IPS display - but the bigger TAB3 8 also includes a front-facing stereo speakers that uses Dolby Atmos cinematic moving audio and optional 4G LTE connectivity.
For the availability and price, Slash Gear stated that all of these tablets will hit the market shelves in June. The Lenovo TAB3 10 Business is tagged at $199 USD for Wi-Fi only, $249 for 2GB / LTE and $299 for 3GB / LTE model. For the Lenovo TAB3 8, price will start at $99 for Wi-Fi only and $149 for LTE model while the TAB3 7 will be available at $129 for 16GB / LTE.
These tablets are a good option for the ones in the business sector and for parents at home. TAB3 10 Business, TAB3 7 and TAB3 8 will be sold both online and in the retailers through which Lenovo already markets its products.
