Lenovo recently released its newest handset, the Lenovo A7000 Turbo, in the second largest smartphone market, India. This gadget is said to be an upgraded device compared to Lenovo's A7000 that was unveiled last year.
Christian Today noted that Lenovo released an upgraded version of the Lenovo A7000 in the Philippines last September, and called it the Lenovo A7000 Plus. The Lenovo A7000 Turbo, however, is much dissimilar from the Plus version as it has some specs where it trumps the A7000 Plus.
According to Christian Post, compared to the standard model, the A7000 Turbo features a better display resolution, higher megapixel camera and bigger storage capability. This handset from the Chinese tech company sports a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display along with HD support. It is armed with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels and it has a PPI of 401.
Under the A7000 Turbos's chassis, is a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor. This processor is coupled with a Mali-T760MP2 graphics processing unit and 2 GB of RAM. It also has an internal storage of 16 GB which users can opt to expand up to 32 GB through microSD card slot -all powered by a 2,900 mAh removable battery.
When it comes to the camera, the users of the smartphone can enjoy taking photos using the 13-megapixel rear-facing snapper with autofocus, dual-LED flash, and full HD (1080p) video recording. Selfies can also be taken with the 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. The Lenovo A7000 Turbo will run with Android 5.0 as it comes out of the box.
As for the connectivity options, NDTV Gadgets stated that the Lenovo A7000 Turbo have Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). The sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope. Apart from those, the unit also supports dual Micro-SIM (GSM and GSM).
Aside from the Lenovo A7000 Turbo, the Chinese tech company has released another handset the Lenovo Vibe K4. This device is tagged at a higher price point of Rs. 11,999. As for the Lenovo A7000 Turbo, it is available at a price point of Rs. 10,999 or $165.
