Caitlyn Jenner Filed a Trademark for a New Business Venture

By

Caitlyn Jenner is following the footsteps of the Kardashian-Jenner women. Earlier, the 66-year-old filed a trademark for her very own line of cosmetic products calling it I Am Cait.

E! News confirmed that Caitlyn filed the rights to use the name for her brand of cosmetic products. According to the celebrity website, the I Am Cait cosmetic line will include makeup, fragrance, skin care, and nail polish. The trademark will give Caitlyn exclusive rights to make a profit out of selling these products under her name.

But while Caitlyn has acquired the trademark to the brand, TMZ reports that the former Olympian still does not have any definite plans. Despite this, she decided to go with the trademark as a possible line in the future. Apart from the products mentioned, there are plenty of other products Caitlyn is considering. With I Am Cait, it is Caitlyn's foray into the cosmetic industry.

This isn't the first time that a Kardashian-Jenner woman has started to sell a cosmetics line. As a matter of fact, the first was Kardashian Beauty; a cosmetic line that siblings Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian started together. Last year, younger sibling Kylie Jenner followed suit and offered Kylie's Lip Kits; after thousands of women wanted to have lips like Kylie Jenner.

The lip kits launched in November 2015. Each lip kit contained a matte liquid lipstick along with a lip liner. At the time of launch, it only offered 3 different shades. But when the product line launched, they immediately became sold out in just a few seconds. This has prompted the line to expand to 6 other shades including a hot pink, pale pink, red, and brown. The lip kits, however, get sold out the moment they go on sale. Just recently, Kylie shared that she will be getting more stocks of her famous product before March.

Interestingly, Kylie has changed the Lip Kit By Kylie name on Instagram to Kylie Cosmetics, indicating that perhaps she isn't going to stop at selling the successful lip kits. Could there be a possible conflict between the I Am Cait product line of Caitlyn and her daughter's Kylie Cosmetics?
