Apple MacBook Pro, Air 2016 to arrive in June instead of March with new designs, upgrades

The much anticipated MacBook Pro and MacBook Air 2016 are expected to arrive in June rather than next month. These two laptops from the Cupertino-based company are predicted to get a total overhaul or redesign and several impressive upgrades.

According to a previous report, Apple Inc. is always having an upgrade with its MacBook lineup at least once a year. But since the last update was made during the first and second quarter of 2015, many thinks it's about time for the company to make an update and release the new members of the MacBook family.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kou stated earlier that the latest version of the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air will arrive in the first half of the year. However, fresh information has surfaced, claiming that the MacBook models will make its first appearance at the WWDC this coming June. If this is accurate, patrons are expected not to see them in the retail markets until the third or fourth quarter of the year.

When it comes to the upcoming MacBook's design, Yibada noted that last year, Apple has proven it can release a very powerful MacBook with a significantly slim down profile. "Slim is gorgeous" appears to be the statement that best describes the MacBook 2015 and it is likely that the same message the upcoming MacBook Pro and Air 2016 versions will convey. With this, it is safe to assume that the iteration will be thinner and lighter than ever.

As the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air 2016 are expected to be thinner and lighter, a number of MacBook features will have to be modified specifically in the connectivity section. Some of the usual ports will be eliminated but Apple engineers will keep the Thunderbolt port and they might introduce what is seen as the wave of the future - USB-C. With this change, the new MacBooks will likely show the exit door to the regular USB port.

In addition, there are tech analysts that are convinced that Apple will have to unpack a MacBook with touchscreen feature. In case Apple Inc. will follow the PC model, the company is likely to release a 12-inch MacBook that also doubles as a tablet when detached from its keyboard dock. This Touch Mac will be the first hybrid device from the Cupertino-based company, but it remains to be seen if it will actually materialize anytime this 2016.

Processor wise, it is speculated that from Broadwell, the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air 2016 will make the anticipated leapfrog to Skylake, specifically the sixth-generation type. According to Intel, its latest processing chips will bring optimal computing experience that translates to 20 percent more of power and up to 30 percent enhancement in efficient energy use. With this, Apple patrons will not only have the slimmest MacBook ever, but likely the most powerful OS X laptop ever produced.

Furthermore, Gospel Herald stated the MacBook Air could add three more products to the lineup which include the 12-inch, 13-inch, and the 15-inch version. As for the price, patrons can expect the price of the upcoming laptops to be slightly higher compared to its predecessors that recently received a mark down on their price tags.

Although the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air 2016's release dates are yet to be determined, one thing is for sure -users can expect powerful upgrades from the upcoming devices. Fans can only hope that the American tech giant provides a sneak peak of these laptops soon.
