Rapper Gucci Mane's Released Date from Prison Rescheduled to September 2016

American Rapper Gucci Mane is set to release from prison in September this year. The initial date of his release was March 2017. The rapper was sent to prison after he was arrested for possession of an illegal firearm back in 2014.

Gucci Mane, 36 years old was sentence three years and three months in prison for the said charges, CNN News reported. The American rapper artist whose real name is Radric Davis, have pleaded guilty in May 2014, convicted to the firearm charges. "Davis has a long history of violence and illegally possessing and using guns," U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said.

Along with serving the three-year sentenced, he was also issued an order to pay a restitution of $5,000 as well as surrender all the firearms his possessing, listed on his indictment statement. The pleas deal also stated that he will undergo mental health treatment as soon he is released from jail.

According to NME, Gucci Mane has been incarcerated at Terre Haute Penitentiary. The rapper artist pleaded guilty to the crime so that he will receive a reduced sentence. Since he started serving his sentence in prison, Mane has been writing songs, which he also released mixtapes.

Gucci Mane also released a Christmas album titled, "East Atlanta Santa." He also gave updates on his plans for his career. He said, "My idea is to take my career to the next level. I am planning to take my music to a higher level and use the attention and influence to sell movies, books, clothing and be a living testimony to all people," he wrote.

The Atlanta-hailing artist is planning to have a tour after he come out in prison, Design & Trend reported. His released date will mark 'Gucci and Friends' tour, date which is in September this year.

Gucci Mane began in the hip hop music scene with the release of his first independent album Trap House. He is also behind the career success of Young Thug, PeeWee Longway and Young Dolph.
