Dougray Scott to join the cast of Fear the Walking Dead Season 2 as soon to be leader Casey. The series to premiere sooner than expected and Flight 462 crossover may be happening in the coming season.

The spin-off series of The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, has equally garnered high viewership ratings and became one of the top scripted shows of AMC. Fear the Walking Dead will have 12 episodes for the coming season in contrast of six episodes from the freshman season.

MNR Daily posted that shooting for Season 2 kickoff somewhere in Mexico. Scene location for Season 2 of the series will be in the open waters as the survivors opted to escape the zombie apocalypse in the mainland.

Nothing much is shared about the plot and what to expect in the Fear the Walking Dead Season 2. But a new character is joining the survivors in their escape to the ocean. Actor Dougray Scott, known for Mission Impossible and Desperate Housewives, has been confirmed as the latest addition to the stellar cast of Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Colman Domingo in the series.

TV Series Finale revealed that Scott may possibly take the role of Casey who is described as well-mannered and logical man with some leadership capacity. The character sounds like Rick Grimes in the making.

A more exciting news for the Walking Dead series fans is a crossover between Fear the Walking Dead and Flight 462 may happen. In the trailer video which you can watch here, the last scene shows a shadow of an airplane casted in the ocean. It may be a hint of a crossover between the two series, though Flight 462 is a miniseries inserted in between ads of The Walking Dead.

Fear the Walking Dead Season 2 is expected to premiere in 11 April 2016 in AMC.
