'Mob Wives' star Big Ang's BIGGEST battle of her life: Stage 4 brain and lung cancer

By

"Mob Wives" star Angela "Big Ang" Raiola has been diagnosed with stage four brain and lung cancer. Her family is now asking help from the public to help Raiola in her battle with cancer.

People reported that Janine Detore, the reality star's sister, has set up a GoFundMe page last February 2 to raise funds and donations that would hopefully reach $25,000 as payment for cannabis oil. This oil is believed to help treat pain. So far, $35,000 had been raised in just two days.

The 55-year-old celebrity already had a lemon-sized tumor removed from her throat in June 2015 after the doctors discovered it in March. This 'battle against cancer' of Raiola was documented on the popular reality show where she stars, showing in a special episode how she and her castmates celebrated her victory against cancer. However, by the end of the year, the cancer came back, making her undergo another round of chemotherapy in early January. On January 26, she was informed that her treatment was not working, ABC News stated.

"In fact, one tumor grew larger and the other tumors had no change," Detore shared. They were advised that Raiola should start immunotherapy the week after the doctor reviewed her CT Scan.

According to American Cancer Society (via Fox News), immunotherapy is a kind of treatment that uses the patient's own immune system in fighting cancer. This is one of the ways that Raiola's doctor thought of as she recently ended up in the emergency room with pain and labored breathing.

Detore further shared that her sister could not function to work anymore. She is also not sure if the cannabis oil will totally work, but she is praying.

Railoa confessed that she was a chain smoker for four decades. Also, before undergoing the appropriate treatment for her throat cancer, she had other several surgeries first.
