Curtis Silwa Sued by Ex-Wife: Former Guardian Angels Founder Accused of Swindling Money for Mistress and New Wife, Queens Borough President Nominee Melinda Katz

Mary Silwa, the third ex-wife of Guardian Angels founder Curtis Silwa, has filed a million dollar lawsuit against her former husband, calling him a liar, philanderer and swindler, the New York Post reported.

"Curtis is an inveterate, world-class liar," Mary Silwa said in her suit, detailing 13 instances when Curtis found ways to cheat on his spouse. In the suit, he accused him of taking about $400,000 out of their marriage and funneling the money to finance his then mistress and soon to be fourth wife, Queens borough-president candidate Melinda Katz, news reports said.

Curtis and Katz "had a secret, sexual, personal and intimate relationship for many years despite Curtis being married," the lawsuit claimed. On 13 occasions, Mary Silwa accused her then-husband of extramarital affairs with the politician, and for much more.

Curtis would tell Mary he was going to stay overnight at the Empire State Building, where he does a radio broadcast mornings and evenings on AM 970. Instead, his ex-wife alleged he "committed adultery with her [Katz] on ¬myriad of occasions," the New York Post reported

The first swindle began in 2008 when Katz was impregnated in vitro with sperm donated by Curtis. He assured his wife that Katz got impregnated by his frozen sperm. But soon after the child was born, Curtis was compelled by law to pay child support to her out of marital assets.

Katz also had a second child using Curtis's sperm. At the time, he told his wife the relationship was platonic.

"This is a sad, frivolous lawsuit," Katz' campaign spokesman responded to the suit. "Unfortunately, it is an attempt by a political campaign and false innuendo as leverage to publicly rehash a long ago settled divorce."
