Apple is speculated to be gearing up for a major event next month wherein new devices are expected to make their first appearance. One of which is the iPad Air 3, the upcoming tablet from the Cupertino-based company that might compete with the iPad Pro.
According to Know Your Mobile, for numerous years Apple Inc. had the same schedule in releasing its devices. It can be remembered that the Macs together with the iPhones are announced around September while a new batch of new iPads debut by November. On the other hand, other new product categories such as Apple TV and the Apple Watch are unveiled whenever Apple feels most suitable.
Vine Report stated that Apple is planning to do a major release event for three of its newest gadgets on March 15. If this speculation is proven to be accurate, the upcoming event will be Apple's first important presentation since the company's previous fall launch occurred September last year. One of the new Apple devices that is predicted to get the spot light on the said event is the iPad Air 3.
BREATHEcast reported that the the iPad Air 3 will debut with a quad-speaker which will let users experience high quality stereo sound in both portrait and landscape orientations. This design is predicted to be a satisfactory feature to consider for streaming videos, watching movies, and listening to music.
The iPad Air 3 is also believed to be 0.05 mm thicker and 0.1 mm wider than its predecessor, iPad Air 2. This improved dimension shows a decreased compatibiliy to fitted cases, which may lead the users to buy to new accessories that will fit the handset.
When it comes to connectivity, the iPad Air 3 is predicted to arrive featuring a smart connector intended for its own Smart Keyboard case. An Apple pencil is also anticipated to be used as substitute for finger touch. As this device is set to be the rival of Microsoft's Surface 3, Apple's iPad Air 3 is believed to arrive with a rear-LED flash, which is supposed to enhance image and video quality, even in low-light surroundings.
The iPad Air 3's recently unveiled relative, the iPad Pro, has no significant difference from its tablet predecessors. But the upcoming tablet is set to feature a larger screen and a more powerful processor, which may be improved by a 4GB of RAM. With this shared specifications, the iPad Air 3 and the iPad Pro are expected to create a great competition in the tablet arena.
As for the price, the Apple iPad Air 3 is speculated to be sold at $499 and an additional $169 and $99 will be added for the physical keyboard and the Apple pencil, respectively.
Aside from the iPad Air 3, the long rumored iPhone 6c also known as iPhone 5se is also expected to make its first public appearance on Apple's March 15 event.
