Dwayne Johnson is piling up his schedules of action films and adding another film in the list, Rampage. Now, recent updates regarding this latest film focus on the new scribes, Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal, that would handle the storyline for this video game adaptation.

Other than starring on The Fast and Furious franchise and being Hercules, Johnson is taking another role that would feature him with a bunch of giant sized monsters. According to The Bit Bag, Dwayne Johnson's newest movie is going to start filming this year. The movie is an adaptation of the 1986 video game that was all about big sized huge monsters trying to destroy the city. With Johnson is Brad Peyton, the director of the San Andreas which featured The Rock as a father who defiled everything to save her daughter. Now, he's onto another film that's much like other Kaiju related films such as Godzilla and King Kong but doors are open for other possibilities.

Moreover, Johnson also revealed that two writers are teaming up for the screenplay of this monster film. Variety reported that Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal are tapped to rewrite the adaptation of the popular arcade video game. The two are noted to be the writers of NBC pilot, "The Sixth Gun" but Cuse was more focused on doing TV series such as Colony, Bates Motel, and The Strain. While the latter developed The Infinite Horizon with Greg Berlanti and Ocean at WB.

Lastly, Game Zone offered some plot details that are based on the video game arcade. The article said that the 1986 arcade video game that rocked the pockets of children are centered on the three average joes, Lizzy, Ralph and George. The three were transformed by toxins into giant monsters as Lizzy became a Godzilla-like lizard, Ralph as a werewolf, while George became a giant Ape in the video game. The game would be much about trying to destroy the city but the movie might take a different notion as they also announced that animals and not humans will be getting the toxins. Further, The Rock will also serve at San Diego Wildlife Preserve which may or may not be connected to the film.

Dwayne Johnson will start filming for his latest video game adaptation film, Rampage. The film will be penned by two writers named Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal. The Rampage is a 1986 hit arcade game that is about three individuals turned into giant monsters tasked to destroy the city.
