Dory will keep swimming to find her family and try to remember her past with the help of old and new trusted friends in the upcoming Finding Dory. 'Lost in France' actor Michael Sheen confirmed his involvement in the upcoming film.

During the "Doug Loves Movies" podcast which was also attended by Greg Proops and Julian McCullough, Sheen confirmed that he will be included in the film. According to Flickering Myth, Sheen mentioned the movie when asked about his future projects. "Finding Nemo 2 should be coming out at some point... which I'm in", Sheen said.

Finding Dory will center on the forgetful blue tang fish's adventure to find her family, as evident on its trailer. According to Entertainment Weekly, aside from Marlin and Nemo, Dory will meet two new characters who will try to overcome their insecurities to help her.

She will meet the beluga whale Bailey, and the whale shark Destiny voiced by Ty Burrell and Kaitlyn Olson respectively. However, Bailey and Destiny do not always get along. "We totally get on each other's nerves," Olson stated. "I like to think I'm a shark, but Bailey calls me a whale, and I make fun of his head, because it's gigantic."

Burrell said that both characters would have to deal with their own issues to help their new friend. "There's always a deeper message with Pixar, and so much of it is that these characters are trying to find faith in themselves. They're trying to overcome their insecurities in order to help somebody in need.", he mentioned.

The franchise has been careful in letting out details about the plot, and its Bandai toys are no exception although it left a couple of clues tickling the curiosity of fans. As reported by Forbes, one of the collectibles called 'Whispering Waves Dory' is a plush toy that gives off sounds of the waves of the ocean for 15 minutes to help children sleep.

Another feature of the toy is the 'talking mode' that features some of Dory's lines in the movie including "My parents, I remembered them", "Churros, churros, churros" and "I think you swim really well" although deciphering the plot behind the lines is definitely not easy.

Finding Dory is directed by Andrew Stanton and Angus MacLane. Ellen DeGeneres returns to reprise her role as Dory, Abert Brooks as Marlin, and Hayden Rolence as Nemo. It will be released in theaters in June 17, 2016.
