Superman will appear in the upcoming episode when Supergirl has been attacked by an alien parasite who made her hallucinate about her family. That said, CBS finally released the plot description for "The Girl Who Has Everything".

Daniel DiMaggio joins the cast of "Supergirl" Season 1. Comic Book Resources reports that the young actor has been cast to play as Kal-El, the younger version of Superman and Kara Zor-El's (aka Supergirl) cousin. Kal-El will be introduced in the 8th episode of the CBS series. His character will appear by means of flashbacks that will establish the bond between him and Kara. Dimaggio's TV credits include smaller roles in "Tales of Halloween", "Clarence", and Burn Notice".

Having said that, the upcoming episode will be showing a product of Kara's imagination from Krypton. According to IB Times, Supergirl will be attacked by an alien parasite who will make her hallucinate that her mother Alura (Laura Benanti) is still alive and Kal-El hasn't grown up to be Superman yet.

As for the official plot synopsis of episode 8, Spoilers Guide notes, "Kara friends must find a way to save her life when a parasitic alien attaches itself to her in a dream world where her family is alive and her home planet was never destroyed. Also, Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh), Hank Henshaw (David Harewood) and the DEO (Department of Extra-Normal Operations) must fend off a Kryptonian attack while Kara is out of commission."

"Supergirl" Season 1 Episode 8 is entitled as "For The Girl Who Has Everything". The upcoming episode is scheduled to premiere on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. exclusively on CBS.
