Obama has asked the Congress for $755 million for 2017 and another $195 million to initially fund the projects. Last year, Biden lost his son due to cancer and made it a personal priority to get a speedy progress in battling cancer. With this, an official said ""There's a reason the vice president is aspiring big, it's the only way we're going to push the envelope and make this kind of progress." Further, Biden led a task force intended to make decades worth of advancements in fighting cancer.
