Rocket League Second Season Changes Defined; Psyonix Gives Goat Simulator Cars, Stages and Goals

By

Psyonix's Rocket League has looked quite impressive for the past number of months and up to this day. Fans are eagerly awaiting for the promised second season that the development team has disclosed, and though the time as to when it will be so is still unknown, a few tidbits of what is to come will prove most useful.

As per Cinema Blend, Psyonix's Rocket League finally been confirmed of having new details for the second season. There will be a massive makeover for the ranking system, as Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers are to be replaced with twelve derived tiers.

These are defined as Rising Star, All-Star, Superstar, Champion, Challenger I, Challenger II, Challenger III, Challenger Elite, Prospect I, Prospect II, Prospect III and Prospect Elite; a last alias known as Unranked is to be somewhat taken as a title but applies only for gamers that completed ten online ranked matches.

Noted by Game Spot, Rocket League has consistently stayed on the higher end of the entertainment chain in terms of racing games, which is why the latest news regarding the aforementioned title and another interesting game has been noted. Goat Simulator was recently reported of being in cahoots as Rocket League type arena was seen on Goat Simulator alongside vehicles, goals and even the ball which are all from Psyonix themselves.

According to Game Ranx, Armin Ibrisagic of Coffee Stain Studios elaborated that the said decision was only for things to turn out quite fun, and was quoted, "Basically, we had a programmer who thought it would be really fun to program an AI for cars that was very similar to the AI used in Rocket League.

Once the AI was done, we got in touch with the peeps behind Rocket League, they sent some assets over to us, and we patched it into the latest Payday DLC. If you own the DLC, you can find a Rocket League arena in the desert outside the 'Payday city.'"

The updates for Rocket League season 2 still does not have a fixed release date for the time being. Stay tuned for further news on Psyonix's high-octane title.
