Hugh Jackman, who played as Wolverine seven times across the studio's X-Men series, said that the script of Wolverine 3 is now complete. The Australian actor said that his physique as Wolverine is back and that he's ready to shoot the film even though this will be his last time playing the role of Wolverine. Rumors say that the story of Wolverine 3 will be taken out from Old Logan series of comics.
The versatile Hugh Jackman has played the Wolverine character for 16 years now in the X-Men movies, and very soon he will unsheathe his claws for the last time. In 2015, Jackman announced that Wolverine 3 would be last time he'll be playing the titular role, as reported by Cinema Blend. Though some fans were sad with the news, most rejoiced and hoped that a new face of Wolverine will soon dominate the big screen.
Although the studio already set a tentative release date of Wolverine 3, Jackman stated that he is not ready to say something about the film yet since the story of Wolverine 3 is not yet polished. However, the script is already finished, and Jackman told the folks at Collider that he already got the full script. He said that he and the studio were getting super close - as fans can see by the rate of his facial hair.
In September, Jackman said that an outline of the script had been completed. The actor also tells the fans about how he is feeling leaving the role of Wolverine. He said that that the stakes just went up in Wolverine 3 when he announced last season that this is going to be his last show. For him, the only way he can let it go is if he left blood every day on the studio floor.
According to the Inquisitr, there have been rumors via Youtube show called Popcorn Talk where El Mayimbe of Heroic Hollywood made an appearance. He said that Wolverine 3 storyline could be taken from the Old Man Logan series of comics.
X-Men Apocalypse is set to be released on May 27, 2016. Meanwhile, Wolverine 3 will be released in theaters on March 3, 2017.
