A theme park worker has been given a suspended sentence. This was brought about after he was caught secretly filming women inside the comfort room.

A Dutch national, Tim Bastian, admitted that he recorded several women as they use the theme parks comfort room last November 28. Westminster Magistrates court found out that Bastian went into the ladies room and placed his phone in the adjacent cubicle so he could film women going in and using the toilet for his sexual satisfaction.

Zahid Hussain, head of the prosecution told the court that the suspect entered the comfort room at around 6:10 pm, he first recorded his first victim for around 30 seconds. But when he tried to film another woman who's supposed use the comfort room, she noticed the phone and immediately called the police to confront Bastian.

According to The Guardian, the Dutch national denied the accusation and tried to run off but before the confrontation, the woman already got a hold of his Dutch identity card and even took photos of him. Bastian gave an explanation during an interview regarding his actions; he said that he used the female toilet because the men's comfort room is so messy and what he had done is stupid. He also said that he was scared that the women will fight him and did not report the incident to his manager because he was ashamed.

He pleaded guilty to the charge of voyeurism and another charge of attempted voyeurism. The Magistrates warned him that the offense was so serious that he could face a custodial sentence. Mehreen Lodhi, the defendant's attorney told that court that Bastian already admitted the accusations and only ran off because he felt threatened.

Bastian was granted conditional bail and will be given sentenced by the same court. He is staying at the Radnor Hotel in Paddington and is due to return to the Netherlands before the decision was issued.
