Apple's iPad Air 3 which is believed to arrive in March has made rounds again in the internet rumor mill. This time, an alleged leaked illustration revealed that the tablet will have four speakers along with a LED flash.
According to Phone Arena, the leaked schematic was originally published by French tech blog Nowhereelse. It stated that the upcoming Apple iPad Air 3 will arrive with a number of small but important hardware tweaks.
Based on the design, the upcoming family member of iPad will have four speakers -- a hardware feature that's already available on the iPad Air Pro. Since a lot of users love movie-watching and it became one of the primary uses of an iPad, the introduction of two additional speakers would let them feel a better movie experience.
Another interesting feature that was seen on the leaked image is the LED flash on the back. This would be the first time that Apple Inc. would incorporate this technology to the iPad line-up, indicating that Apple isn't fully supporting tablet photography. Unluckily, there is no available information about the potential camera upgrade over the 8MP primary camera on the current-generation Apple iPad Air 2.
When it comes with the release date, Ubergizmo reported that the device could launch anytime on the first half of 2016. This turns out to be accurate as there are talks suggesting that Apple will most likely be launching the tablet in March.
Since, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who hinted the launch date, is great with the Apple speculations and rumors, there is really a good chance that this will materialize. Additionally, given the fact that Apple typically holds an event in March every year, it is somewhat safe to conclude that the company would make hardware announcements. This is likely for the iPad Air lineup which has not been refreshed for a while now.
Furthermore, TechnoBuffalo added that despite the presence of three different iPad sizes, Apple's tablet has encountered another slow quarter, with sales dropping 25 percent from last year. With this, the iPad Air 3 is part of Apple's plan to increase the lineup's sales this year and it is certainly makes sense that the company would explore the possibility of Apple Pencil support.
Aside from the slight redesign and Pencil support, Apple is also testing a new version of iOS with a Classroom application, making it more appealing for the education sector.
As usual, the above mentioned information is based on speculations and predictions so iPad Air enthusiasts should take it as a guide only. Nevertheless, Apple Inc. is surely doing all the things it could to improve the iPad Air 3 as it could be its hope on regaining the company's sales.
