Supermodel Stephanie Seymour was recently arrested for driving under the influence in Connecticut on Friday, January 15, 2016. She was then released with a $500 bond, but is set to appear for trial next week, January 22.

Stephanie Seymour is facing DUI charges and set to appear for trial on Friday. She was arrested by Connecticut State Police in Greenwich. According to CNN, the supermodel was in her Land Rover that backed into a Mercedes when she was called to stop by the police officers. Authorities claimed that there was a strong alcohol odor coming out from the model's breath and vehicle. She also had bloodshot eyes that made her more suspicious to be under the influence of alcohol.

People reported that there have been six or seven requests to Seymour before she handed her license. Upon handing it over, the supermodel also gave her credit card.

According to the Connecticut State Police who arrested the 47-year old supermodel, she was unsteady on her feet and looked really drunk to function. Associated Press reported that she also refused to perform field sobriety tests by the police; hence, the arrest occurred.

The charges were specific to operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and unsafe backing which specifically ocurred in Greenwich, Connecticut. Stephanie Seymour was later on released after paying a bail amounting to $500.

Seymour, who frequently graced the front page of magazines back in the 1980's and 90's, is set to be in front of the judge on Friday for her trial on the said case. Findings and investigations during and after the arrest will be presented by the Connecticut police.

Following the DUI incident, CNN called Stephanie Seymour and her reps from IMG Models. Unfortunately, the supermodel's lawyers were unable to respond immediately.
