Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact units are poised to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade as new list of estimated schedules has arrived a couple of days back. New reports stated that Marshmallow will come anytime in January or February.
Sony is slated to release Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade to Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact in a few weeks' time. Per recent reports surfacing out, the biggest Android update will be rolled out to a bunch of Sony smartphones and tablets in December 2015. However, the update did not push through and was again speculated moving to January or later in April.
The Japanese giant has yet to confirm when the update is coming out to the device. Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact had just received the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop version late in November along with Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact.
In another side of the news, partner carriers are reported busy incorporating their own software to the device for a sooner slate.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come out with a host of minor yet helpful features like a stylish clock, a memory manager, and an option for messages to pop up on the lock screen.
The new clock goes a little bit elegant and stylish. Google pushes a step further with the app accessory by redesigning it into a more fashionable time piece. With Marshmallow, the date text appears in all caps while the font of the time text gets a little thicker or bolder.
The new memory manager will definitely help control the memory use of the device which has been an ongoing issue with the software. Marshmallow allows users to check how the memory is going over the last few hours with the installed apps individually listed. This works even without a third-party app. The Memory option in the Settings menu is the one monitoring all these.
Marshmallow also incorporates a message on the lock screen to pop up. Before proceeding to the complete message, users will be able to take a peek right from the screen even when it is locked. The text is located way below the date and time and less obvious than them.
