Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Release Date of AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular & Verizon

Samsung Mobile is getting back the spotlight in the Android world as it already released a beta test of the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow software to a select Galaxy S6 Edge+ smartphones. This prompted new reports that the device is indeed coming very close to the official rollout of the new build.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ smartphones are now getting a treat from Google dev as a hint of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update has been made available to some devices for beta test. This stage determines the performance of a certain device with the certain kind of build.

As Android 6.0 has been deemed successful to most devices running on it, Samsung is expected to be at ease at its test for the new. The South Korean giant is expected to release the new build to the mobile carriers before this month comes to an end.

Confirmed operators up for the update include AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular and Verizon Wireless. Only T-Mobile has been outright vocal about its plans for Marshmallow and its devices. According to its support page, Galaxy S6 Edge+ is now in development for Marshmallow. However, it did not reveal when the build is coming out.

This is the first time that Samsung has been making rounds in the tech industry since it last revealed its Marshmallow roadmap plans in October 2015. The beta test is also confirmed to Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5.

Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update comes with a new and updated set of emojis, a bunch of security patches, and the new features that are originally brought by the Marshmallow launcher.

The update is reported to be heavier in size since this is in beta phase yet. Aside from the slated additions and features, Marshmallow will also bring more quick settings toggles for Private Mode in the status bar and improved visibility of notification panel icons. Plus, Samsung has made minor tweaks on how the phone vibrates when locked with a fingerprint; the phone will only vibrate when the fingerprint is not recognized.
