Samsung has just confirmed that it is rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software to Galaxy Alpha and its partner carriers have confirmed to support the upgrade. AT&T, Bell and T-Mobile are expected to roll out the new build to their versions of Galaxy Alpha very soon.
Mobile carriers in the United States have been in stiff competition to support as many phones possible for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. Luckily, with AT&T, Bell and T-Mobile, they all agreed to roll out the latest Android software to Galaxy Alpha.
Despite the strong pull of flagship smartphones to be on the priority list of mobile carriers' Marshmallow plans, AT&T, Bell and T-Mobile chose to be kind and generous to the mid-range device. Currently, all Samsung Galaxy Alpha units of these carriers are running on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and have not been reported pursuing the final Android Lollipop versions.
According to the list of estimated time of arrival of Marshmallow to Samsung devices, Galaxy Alpha will receive it in the second quarter of 2016, that is April to June. However, many Galaxy Alpha users believe that the update will come earlier, like what happened to some mid-range phone of LG and Motorola.
