The dynamic duo Shawn Mendes and Fifth Harmony's Camila Cabello have surely made a hit with their dramatic duet 'I Know What You Did Last Summer.' They have been making waves over the radio and a lot of fans are loving their tandem.

The song is featured on the re-release of 'Handwritten' which is the 'Stitches' singer's smash debut album. Since its release in November, it has been steady in rising up the Hot 100 charts, according to Rolling Stone. Mendes and Cabello already performed their duet live in several shows such as Kelly & Michael, The Late Late Show and recently on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

They also did a live performance at the 2016 People's Choice Awards, where they recreated the music video of the single (in a way), featuring sky visuals in a thunderstorm before going into their Roots-assisted live version, Hollywood Life reported. Also, it was said that part of the lyrics of the teen stars' duet were from Bill Wither's 'Ain't No Sunshine.' Apparently, the iconic soul singer has contributed in writing the single.

Cabello and Mendes are obviously doing a lot of guest shows together. Last December, Mendes, together with Fifth Harmony, toured with Jingle Ball. The pair got to sing their duet during the 17-year-old male singer's sets. What's in store for them is that Mendes will be playing Radio City Music Hall in March while Fifth Harmony will release this year their second album.

With this, fans are speculating if there is already a budding romance between the two young artists. Looking at their live performances, their supporters have long noticed a chemistry in the dramatic and heart wrenching way they sing together. However, nothing is confirmed yet between the two as they are said to really be just friends.

As Australia Network News stated, Mendes denied all the dating rumors during Wendy Williams's show. When Williams told Mendes that his 'girlfriend' will be with him on a New Year's Eve event, he replied saying, "I don't have a girlfriend... Maybe I'll find one here tonight." The Latina singer, on the other, was also reported to be happily single.

Whether they are in a relationship or not, the two seem to be doing well, especially with their careers. Perhaps they are just really close friends. But who knows what can happen in the future, right?
