‘James Bond 25’ News: Christoph Waltz to return if Daniel Craig does; Radiohead releases rejected ‘Spectre’ theme song

'James Bond 25' is a planned addition to the popular spy-action series based on the fictional British Secret Service agent created by Sir Ian Fleming. Renowned actor Christoph Waltz, who plays the villainous Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the films, expressed his desire to reprise his role for another film under the condition that co-star Daniel Craig also returns with him.

According to Hey U Guys, Waltz may return to future films in the popular spy franchise should his co-star Daniel Craig returns as well. The Oscar-winning Austrian-German actor plays the antagonistic Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the James Bond series. He is also best known for other film work including Hans Landa in 'Inglorious Basterds' and Dr. King Schultz in 'Django Unchained' - both collaborations with director Quentin Tarantino.

Craig previously expressed his desire to move on from the franchise and may not return as the titular 007 agent at all. According to We Got This Covered, Craig is reportedly watching the James Bond franchise's distribution rights carefully before making another decision to reprise his role.

The 47-year old English actor rose to prominence as the sixth actor to play the role of Ian Fleming's protagonist, officially replacing Pierce Brosnan in 2005. He was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for 2006's 'Casino Royale' and went on to star in sequels 'Quantum of Solace', 'Skyfall' and the recent release, 'Spectre'.

Meanwhile, The Verge reported that the iconic rock band Radiohead was asked to write the theme song for 'Spectre' before Sam Smith's 'Writing on the Wall' was eventually chosen. The English band recently released the rejected tune - also entitled 'Spectre' - on their SoundCloud page saying, "It didn't work out, but became something of our own, which we love very much. As the year closes we thought you might like to hear it."

'James Bond 25' is a planned sequel based on the fictional agent of the same name. Its predecessor, 'Spectre', earned $751 million in the box office and received mixed reviews from critics and fans alike. It featured Daniel Craig in his fourth appearance as the titular agent.
