Drake Bell Arrested for DUI; Will Face Jail Time

By

Drake Bell was arrested in California last December. Bell is now officially charged with driving under the influence and might possible face jail time.

The former Nickelodeon teen star Drake Bell was pulled over on December 21 last year at 2.18am by police in Glendale, California. He was pulled over because of over speeding, straddling a lane and suddenly stopping at a red light. Mirror UK reported that Glendale Police spokesperson Tahnee Lightfoot said at the time that officers smelled an odour of alcohol on the 29-year-old actor. Drake then did not pass a sobriety test so he was brought to jail. He was travelling alone and was placed under arrest.

There were also reports that are saying Drake was driving at 55km an hour in a 35 zone.

According to Gossip Cop, since Drake was charged with the same thing back in 2009, he might face jail time this occasion. He will be jailed for four days and his license will be suspended. After being charged on the day he was arrested, he was released on a bail of $20,000. Los Angeles County District Attorney has now charged Drake with one count of misdemeanour DUI.

Hollywood Life stated that before Justin Bieber's change, Drake used to make a joke on him. Drake started a movement on twitter for Justin's deportation back in 2014 when the singer was charged with DUI. Now that he's straightened up and very sober, fans are waiting for his come back to Drake's jokes. Drake is now in his previous situation, and though he can't really deport Drake, he might as well think of other things for his banter against the actor.

Though Drake is not the first Hollywood star to face these things, he is very active on social media platforms and his fan and non-fans alike are waiting for his comment about this situation. Drake was one of Nick's best actors and was famous for "Drake and Josh" the series. He is now trying to make way in music industry.
