'Warcraft' is an upcoming fantasy-adventure film directed by Duncan Jones. The film's official trailer was recently overdubbed for a new fan trailer that featured sounds from the original video game 'Warcraft II'. Meanwhile, Jones mourned his father David Bowie following the latter's death in January 10.
According to Kotaku, a new fan trailer overdubbed with video game sound effects from Warcraft II took up the internet by storm. Robert Mermet's project replaced the sounds and effects of the original trailer with those from Blizzard Entertainment's 1995 classic 'Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness'.
Fans are treated to background music taken straight from the original video game while they hear the iconic line, "For the king!" from humans and "Zug-Zug" from the orcs, according to Tech Times. The original video game series consist of five core games namely 1994's 'Warcraft: Orcs and Humans', 1995's 'Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness', 2002's 'Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos', 2004's 'World of Warcraft' and finally, the online collectible card game 'Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft'.
All games in the series have been set in the fictional fantasy world of Azeroth - one that would feature mainly in Jones' new live-action adaptation. The upcoming 'Warcraft' movie will tell the origin story of the initial encounters of orcs and humans.
Meanwhile, Jones personally confirmed his father's passing on January 10 with an announcement on twitter. According to AsiaOne, he wrote, "Very sorry and sad to say it's true. I'll be offline for a while. Love to all." Other celebrities joined Jones in mourning the legendary musician and pop icon including Madonna, Russell Crowe, Ricky Gervais, Paul McCartney, Iggy Pop and Harry Styles of One Direction. Bowie fought hard against liver cancer for 18 long months but succumbed to it just two days after his birthday and the release of his newest album 'Blackstar'.
'Warcraft' is an upcoming fantasy-adventure based on Blizzard Entertainment's popular video game of the same name. It is co-written and directed by Duncan Jones and stars Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Robert Kazinsky, Toby Kebbell, Dominic Cooper and Clancy Brown among others. It is scheduled to be released on June 10, 2016.
