Duck Dynasty Family Adopts a New Child

By

Reality TV stars of A&E's show "Duck Dynasty," Willie and Korie Robertson, have recently announced that they are planning to adopt another son. Taking to social media to share the news, Korie announced that they were both decided to add another member into their family, a 13-year-old boy that has been living with the family as early as May of last year.

On Sunday, Korie explained on Instagram as to why the new member of their family has been kept a secret. She also shares that people have continually asked them about the teenager who has appeared in a number of their family photos. The reason on why the family did not announce the adoption sooner was because they wanted to have some privacy with the boy. This gave their entire family time to bond before the media would swarm in and take notice of the boy.

Now that the Robertsons have adopted a new member into their family, the number of children they have in total is six. Out of this number, half are biological children of the couple. The other three have been adopted separately.

When asked when he treats his biological children differently from his adopted ones, Willie shares that he doesn't see a difference between them. Willie believes that adopting his son, Little Willie, was the best decision they have ever made for their family. He was adopted when he was still a baby.

Both Willie and Korie are no stranger to adoption since they are all out in support of adoption. As a matter of fact, the couple has an orphan awareness group called Show Hope. The couple believe that adoption is a "Godly" decision. They also believe that kids shouldn't be without homes. As adults, the couple believes it is their purpose to spread this advocacy.
