The release of Apple's handsets have received great response but the Cupertino firm does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon as several rumors and speculations have surfaced on the iPhone 7c. The forthcoming handset is rumored to be smaller in size, but with power house features.
Several murmurings have surrounding the handset, with latest rumors pointing at an April release. According to GSM Arena, the device will go on a full scale production soon since Apple has finished with their small-scale trial production for the handset.
Moreover, while official details about the handset have not been revealed yet, Gadgets 360 reported that iPhone 7c is being crafted to be a waterproof handset, and will have a Taiwan-based Catcher Technology as their largest supplier of metal chassis.
It is also rumored to house an A9 processor and 16GB of internal storage. According to Value Walk, the new handset is speculated to be similar with the shape and size of an iPhone 5s. It is rumored to have 4-inch display with 1,334x750 resolution and improved pixel-per-inch rating.
It could also be released with 2GB of RAM, and could feature curved 2.5D glass which will ensure its design's similarity to iPhone 6s. Its rear camera could be an 8MP shooter, while the front facing camera could be at 5MP
The smaller 4-inch display size for the handset is reportedly crafted for the late Apple CEO, Steve Jobs who lwas fond of 3.5-inch mobiles. The new handset will also be the firm's attempt to diversify their brand especially since they have been releasing larger and bigger phones in the past.
It is rumored to ditch the Lightning connector in favor of a USB Type-C Port. It is also claimed to include a Touch ID feature, and carry a 1,642mAh battery. Current speculations suggest that the iPhone 7c could be sold at $400-$500 with three different color options.
