Controversial Republican candidate, Donald Trump, has declared the policies of President Barack Obama and his former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, are responsible for the “creation of ISIS.”
The GOP front-runner has accused his rival of fostering the terror group during a Biloxi, Mississippi rally, but presented no evidence for his claims.
Trump, who spoke at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum Saturday, Jan. 2, further blamed the rising tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran on the Islamic Republic’s intention to overthrow the U.S.’s longtime ally in the Middle Eastern region.
The leading Republican presidential candidate condemned the Obama administration’s delicate treatment of the current tension in Iran, and the ISIS terrorist group, allowing it to grow, Business Insider said.
However, Trump failed to mention he had previously appeared in an al-Shabaab propaganda video last week where he called for the banning of Muslims in the U.S., The Guardian wrote.
Apart from condemning President Obama and Hillary Clinton's foreign policies for ISIS’ rise, he further cited an example of the Iranian protestors crowded outside the Saudi Arabian embassy in Tehran following Saudi Arabia’s execution of 47people last week, CNN reported.
Among those executed included Nimr al-Nimr, a Shiite cleric who had been arrested in 2012 after being convicted for sedition and inciting sectarian strife, among other charges, for speaking out against the Saudi royal family and Saudi Arabian government on several occasions.
Trump further said Iran intends to take over Saudi Arabia for its oil, and pointed a finger at former President George W. Bush for the Iraq invasion of 2003, which he says further escalated Middle Eastern unrest.
Trump has been aggressively attacking Democrat presidential front-runner, Clinton, in the recent weeks leading up to 2016, assailing her record at the State Department.
Apart from Trump, his other competitors in the presidential race, Rick Santorum and Carly Fiorina, have mentioned last year that both Obama and Clinton were responsible for ISIS coming into power in the Middle East.
