Bill Cosby charged with felony sexual assault in Pennsylvania

Bill Cosby is facing another sexual assault charges. The actor was arraigned for sexually assaulting a woman after manipulating her into using drugs way back in 2004. This is the only criminal case filed against the actor among other tons of transgressions he was previously accused with.

Bill Cosby, now 78 years old, was escorted by his lawyers during the arraignment at a courthouse in Philadelphia. The judge set a $1 million-worth of bond, asked him to surrender his passport, and was then ordered to prohibit any form of communication with his accuser, Reuters shared in a report. The actor is set to return on court on January 14, 2016 for his preliminary hearing.

According to CNN, the charge made by the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office came in as no surprise even though filed 12 years after the alleged sexual assault. The said assault is not a new thing faced by the actor as he was reported to be in front of other three felony charges due to indecent assault and multiple same charges by various individuals.

The said affidavit filed against Bill Cosby claims the actor's alleged drugging and sexually assaulting to a former Temple University employee, Andrea Constand. The said incident happened at the actor's home at a Philadelphia suburb in Elkins Park, International Business Times cited.

Moreover, the probable cause affidavit set by the investigators allegedly points out to Bill Cosby who sought to incapacitate Andrea Constand by giving her a mix of pills and wine leading to her unconsciousness and left her unable to contest the sexual activity.

Andrea Constand is the first person to have publicly revealed and allege a sexual assault against Bill Cosby. This makes the first criminal case filed against the actor. Bill Cosby has once denied all these allegations thrown at him.
