Murrells Inlet woman faces DUI charges after US-501 kills one person

Serious Driving Under the Influence (DUI) charges have been filed against a Murrells Inlet as she has gotten involved in a car crash that happened in US-501 close to Pee Dee Road in Horry County, South Carolina. The woman has reportedly killed one and injured two others when the said crash happened.

According to WMBF News, the woman has been recognized as Susan Nevitt. The Murrells Inlet has been charged with felony DUI chargers resulting to death and serious injuries, as well as child endangerment.

Susan Nevitt was said to be under the influence of a certain drug or alcohol while driving along US-501 near Pee Dee in Horror County, South Carolina with a minor inside the vehicle. In fact, South Carolina Highway Patrol authorities have found a container of beer or wine inside the said vehicle.

She wasdriving a Dodge Durango at around past 1 a.m. when crossed the center line of the road and eventually hit an SUV coming from the reversed direction, WBTW News 13 disclosed.

As per Horry County Coroner Robert Edge, Jessie Mae Jameson, the driver of the crashed SUV, was ushed to the hospital but died due to the fatal injuries she had during the encounter.

South Highway Carolina patrol then reported that Jessie Mae Jameson was not wearing her seatbelt and as further investigations reigned, she was in her 70s.

The Dodge Durango that Susan Nevitt drove had a 10-year old child who got seriously injured because of the incident. The child, including Jessie Mae Jameson, were rushed to the Grand Strand Hospital for further physical examination due to the car crash. Brazil Press reported the fatality of the issue and charges against Susan Nevitt by cause of the disastrous result it brought.

Currently, Susan Nevitt is detained at J Reuben Long Detention Center as additional investigations are being conducted by the South Highway Carolina patrol regarding the aforementioned crash.
